Travis County's CAFR is a set of financial statements that complies with the accounting standards established by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and provides the public with not only the financial health of Travis County but with non-financial information that gleans insight to what makes Travis County unique.
Travis County's PAFR summarizes and simplifies the information in the CAFR in order to make it easily understandable to you and other interested parties. However, it is not intended to replace the CAFR which contains audited financial statements with necessary note disclosures. We hope that this document aides in your understanding of our CAFR.
The Texas Comptroller has provided some resources that will help in reading and understanding more about a CAFR.
